The renowned CNN journalist, currently in West Africa, posted a short clip with Tiwa, prompting fans to flood the comments section with pleas for him to marry the award-winning Nigerian singer. Some even poked fun at Madowo, with Sifuna jokingly tweeting, "Omwami taifa zima linakutegemea," which translates to "King, the entire nation is relying on you."

Recently, the affluent journalist stirred up chatter after lavishly spending money at a wedding. Attending the wedding of his Nigerian friends in South Africa, the CNN journalist sported a kitenge trouser and a blue shirt. With a wide grin, the senior bachelor delightedly sprayed dollars on the bride. The video of the esteemed journalist showering the bride with money elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans, with some even urging him to consider marriage.

 Madowo was captured dancing to Nigerian songs while showering the new couple with money. The video has quickly gone viral, eliciting hundreds of reactions from netizens.

Madowo captioned the said video saying, " Spraying money at my Nigerian friends’ wedding in South Africa. Did I understand the assignment?" He wrote. He was not alone spraying the said Money, some other influential Nigerians and south Africans were also captured doing that to the new couple. It was a wedding that was attended by the rich and top celebrities like Larry Madowo.

Upon seeing Larry's post, Stacie Waweru has commented saying, " This Nigerian custom is slowly losing its sparks. Back in the days, it was the older guests that used do this, like the couple's uncles, aunties and other older family friends. Today even the young and unmarried are throwing money in the wedding." She said.
