Embakasi East Member of Parliament, Honorable Babu Owino, has stirred controversy by taking a jab at firebrand lawyer Miguna Miguna. During a joint press interview, MP Babu Owino asserted that Miguna's academic accomplishments pale in comparison to his own.
Owino pointed out that while Miguna holds an LLB in law, he also possesses the same qualification. However, Babu Owino highlighted that he has additional outstanding distinctions that Miguna lacks.

In his retort, Miguna alleged that Owino is a corrupt leader who cannot even properly identify himself.
He asserted that the name Babu Owino is of Indian origin, yet the holder of a first-class honors degree in Actuarial Science is Luo.
"Babu Owino, if that’s his true INDIAN name, has confessed to being a drug dealer, a drug user, a worthless alcoholic, a murderer, an incurable thug, and a hopeless bumbling MPig who has never brought a bill in parliament, and survives on barbaric thuggery.
No one who has successfully gone through university discusses what they obtained at primary or secondary school. Those discussions are left for academic dwarfs.
