Will Smith, the Hollywood A-lister, shared his unique experience of collaborating with football legend Lionel Messi, who made a surprising appearance in the 'Bad Boys: Ride or Die' trailer.

The film, which was released on June 5 and stars Martin Lawrence, is the most recent installment in the famous "Bad Boys" series. Smith and Lawrence have been involved in film promotion, appearing on several TV shows and podcasts. Smith was questioned about his time on set with Messi during an interview on the Full Send Podcast.

He offered insight into Messi's character off the field and called the Argentine one of the greatest of all time.

"Messi is fantastic," Smith gushed. "He doesn't do stuff like [acting in the trailer], so it's exciting when you see somebody who is world-class in what they do, and then they get that little kid smile doing something new.

"He loved being on the set working and doing pieces. We shot a bunch of social pieces, which was like a relief for him. He just loved playing in that world. He's fun to watch."

The "Bad Boys: Ride or Die" promo video opens with a bang. Smith and Lawrence reprise their iconic roles as police officers Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett. The scene begins in their house with a startling doorbell chime.

They are shocked to see none other than Messi at their door, clad casually in a white t-shirt. Messi unexpectedly interrupts the conversation to say, "Bad Boys," while grinning.

Playing their parts, Smith and Lawrence are shocked and inform Messi that he is at the wrong address before closing the door behind him. An unfazed Messi ends the promo with a happy "Mucho gusto," giving the skit a humorous conclusion.
