US-based Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong'o has joined the chorus of voices expressing concern over the anti-tax protests in Kenya. Lupita has strongly opposed the proposed Finance Bill 2024, sharing words of encouragement during a tense period over the tax measures aimed at generating an additional 346 billion in revenue.

President Ruto addressed the nation on Tuesday, stating that the process had been infiltrated and hijacked by organized criminals. He emphasized that the government had mobilized all available resources.

Defense CS Aden Duale also deployed the military to respond to the threats.
