According to TMZ, Travis Scott might not have been arrested in Miami last week if he hadn't forgotten some belongings on the yacht during the incident.

According to people with knowledge of the matter, the rapper was driven off the yacht last Thursday morning when he instructed his driver to return to the marina early.

Travis reportedly made a sharp turn to get his phone and bag back after realizing he had left them on the yacht.

According to our sources, Travis requested a police escort to help him remove his belongings from the boat when he returned to the dock.

Recall that they had already had a heated argument on the yacht, so we're told he was attempting to diffuse the situation. However, his call for the police escalated the situation because the sergeant had already advised him to stay away when he had first left.

Travis was arrested for trespassing and disorderly intoxication after he made the decision to return.

A spokesman for the Miami Beach Police tells TMZ that they will respect the legal system and let things play out as they should.

Recall that the entire situation started when Travis and one of the yacht owners got into a fight. As they began to escort him off the boat, police claim he was yelling profanities at the people inside, according to the police report that TMZ was able to obtain.

Upon his return, they made the decision to handcuff him and bring him to the station for processing.

After posting bond fast, Travis was freed, and those close to him played the incident down, calling it a "minor charge."

Before scurrying back to Los Angeles, TS was evidently not worried about his arrest because he had posted memes featuring his mug shot.

Bradford Cohen, Travis' attorney, was contacted but did not respond.
