UK-based Kenyan actor Lenana Kariba has opened up about his life as a full-time stay-at-home dad. During a Q&A session on Instagram, he confirmed that he is entirely dedicated to caring for his daughter at home and encouraged other fathers to consider the same role.

Kariba shared that being a stay-at-home dad allows him to witness his daughter's growth firsthand. He mentioned that their family setup is convenient as his wife works from home in the UK, enabling her to join them for lunch and breaks. "Yes, I’m 100% a stay-at-home dad, and it’s the best. We are fortunate with our setup as my wife works from home.

She joins us for lunch and short breaks, but I definitely take the lead in childcare during the week. To my fellow dads, what are you waiting for? Being a stay-at-home dad is awesome and makes financial sense. Trust me, you’ll enjoy watching your little one grow," he said.

In response to another fan's question, Kariba explained that his wife's job dictates their residence in the UK, which suits them well. He noted that his wife has a traditional corporate job with an income that exceeds their needs. Meanwhile, he maintains acting jobs in Kenya and generates income from assets.

"This is how it works for us. I earn money by returning to Kenya for acting work, and I also do content creation and receive passive income from assets I own in Kenya. This gives me the freedom to be relaxed in the UK. We keep my income in Kenya and use it for our time there and for building our new home," he explained.

Lenana moved to the UK to be with his wife, Hellen, after their wedding in September 2021 on the Caribbean Island of Antigua. The couple frequently travels between Kenya and the UK to enjoy the best of both worlds. In a previous interaction with fans, Lenana expressed his hope for their children to pursue their education in the UK.
