Lil Wayne’s lyric notebook is now officially up for sale with a significant price increase following a lengthy legal battle over its ownership. The notebook, dating back to the '90s, is being offered for $5 million, a considerable jump from its initial listing of $250,000 five years ago.

Waza News  has learned that Moments in Time, the company handling the sale, justifies the steep markup by emphasizing Lil Wayne's status as one of the greatest rappers of all time, making his handwritten lyrics extremely valuable.

The notebook's history is also noteworthy. In 2019, Moments in Time attempted to sell it on behalf of a man who claimed to have found Lil Wayne's old property in a car previously owned by Cash Money Records. Lil Wayne objected and demanded the return of his work, with his attorneys issuing a cease and desist letter to Moments in Time, asserting they had no right to sell the lyrics. They also accused the man who found the notebook of deceit and opportunism.

The man fought back, invoking "finders-keepers" and asking the court to declare him the rightful owner, while accusing Wayne of intimidation. Despite the legal wrangling, Lil Wayne did not respond, leading the court to rule against him.

Now, after all the disputes, this piece of rap history is available for purchase, provided you have the funds to acquire it.
