Cardi B has opened up about a frightening accident that left her deeply concerned for the safety of her unborn child. Speaking on X Spaces on Thursday, the rapper revealed that she had slipped while going down the stairs, leading to a serious fall where she "kind of busted [her] ass."

Cardi described hearing a "pop" after the fall, which left her unable to move and crying out for help. She initially tried to sleep off the pain, but as her condition worsened, she went to the hospital, where doctors discovered she had torn a ligament in her pelvis and was already dilated.

Cardi explained that she began experiencing contractions every two minutes for an entire 24 hours before she was finally discharged and sent home on bed rest. She is also undergoing physical therapy as part of her recovery.

The rapper shared that the "freak accident" nearly cost her baby No. 3. While she didn't specify what triggered the health scare, she mentioned that the situation became so severe that it "almost cost me my little one," indicating that she was close to going into early labor.

Cardi announced her pregnancy last week, just one day after filing for divorce from Offset, whom she married in 2017. As previously reported, Cardi's divorce filing confirmed that Offset is the father of her unborn child, as she requested child support for all three of their kids. Cardi and Offset also share a son, Wave, and a daughter, Kulture.

Although Cardi has not yet revealed the gender of her baby, who is expected to arrive later this year, she reassured her followers that the baby is doing fine following the medical scare. However, she noted that she is still dealing with significant pain.
