50 Cent is backing down from his defamation lawsuit against his ex, Daphne Joy. The rapper recently filed legal documents, obtained by Waza News, requesting the judge to dismiss the case without prejudice. Although the judge has not signed off yet, it's expected to happen soon.

This marks a major shift for 50 Cent, who initially filed the lawsuit in May after Daphne publicly accused him of rape and physical abuse. The allegations were made in a March 28 Instagram post where Daphne criticized him for trolling her about being involved in a separate lawsuit with Diddy. She added, "Let's focus on your true evil actions of raping and physically abusing me."

In July, TMZ reported that Daphne deleted the post in an attempt to reconcile with 50 Cent, especially for the sake of their son, Sire. It appears her efforts paid off, as 50 Cent is now choosing not to pursue the lawsuit.
