Controversial socialite Bridget Achieng has claimed she cannot return to Kenya due to fear of arrest. During a recent TikTok live session, she revealed that she is a targeted individual.
“I cannot enter Kenya because my passport is blocked. I am stuck in Turkey. If I enter Kenya, I will be arrested. It’s not like I can’t go to Dubai or anywhere else. But I say, why waste time instead of making sure that I pursue this case, pick up my son, and go to a better country?”
Bridget Achieng, a former cast member of the reality show Nairobi Diaries, has been accused of involvement in alleged human trafficking. Reports claim she lured Kenyan women to the Middle East with job offers, only for them to be trafficked for sex—allegations she has consistently denied, stating the case is still under court review.

In 2018, the BBC issued an apology to Achieng following a prostitution documentary in which she was prominently featured. She accused the network of heavily editing her interview, leaving out key parts and portraying her unfairly as a prostitute.
In the documentary, however, Bridget Achieng admitted to having engaged in prostitution before rising to fame. She explained that she was driven by desperation for money and, above all, a sense of naivety at the time.
“I had to do it just to get back on my feet, it’s not something any woman should be proud of,” she told BBC Africa.
“I tried (the trade), I wouldn’t say I didn’t try, you’re a desperate girl looking for money and this guy offers you like $10,000 (about Sh1 million) just to go and see him. 10 thousand dollars! Some people have never seen 10 thousand dollars in their life. You just have to look pretty get $10,000 and get on the plane and do what you have to do.
