CNN journalist Larry Madowo is enjoying quality time at Lake Victoria in Kisumu County with his long-rumored partner, Edith Kimani.
The two journalists, accompanied by a group of friends, seemed to be relishing every moment, with Larry sharing the highlights on his X account. In one post, he shared a photo of himself and Edith affectionately holding each other on a boat.
“When you take the daughter of the mountain to the lake,” he captioned.
In another post, he shared a lively video of the two dancing to traditional Luo songs, complete with rhythmic drumming courtesy of their friends.
“Daughter of Kiambu goes to Kisumu, daughter of Kiambu loved Kisumu,” he wrote.

For years, whispers of a romance between the two media personalities have refused to die down. Both Madowo and Kimani, known for their larger-than-life personalities have kept their fans guessing. They have neither confirmed nor denied the rumours.
Former Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Nelson Havi recently pledged to contribute 10 cows towards Madowo’s dowry if he accepted Bonareri’s offer, a 24-year-old lady who proposed to the journalist.
“Accept the offer, Larry. I will donate 10 cows for the nyombo and be your best man. We need you off the shelves,” Havi tweeted, urging Madowo to consider taking the bold admirer up on her proposal.
The young woman had reached out via email, boldly titling her message, “Request to get married,” and expressing her intent to wed Madowo without delay, promising to clarify her reasons later.
Her brief and direct email read: “Good day Larry, No wasting word, I am twenty-four years old, Kenyan and want you to marry me. Everything will be explained later.”
Amused by the unconventional approach, Madowo, 37, shared a screenshot of the email on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, October 19, 2024. His caption humorously highlighted her parting words: “Everything will be explained later.”
