Bonfire Adventures co-founders Sarah Mtalii and Simon Kabu put their marital differences aside to co-chair a management meeting with their employees on Thursday, January 23.
The two appeared in good spirits as they collaborated on strategies for 2025, earning praise from netizens for their professionalism and maturity.
Meanwhile, Sarah’s lawyers disclosed details about their divorce proceedings and a related children’s case currently being handled in Kiambu courts.
In a video shared by Sarah on Instagram, the meeting commenced with an opening address acknowledging the team’s impressive performance despite challenges in the previous year.

"I need to call the meeting to order. I want to commend the entire team. I am seeing most of you for the first time in the new year. This is our management team, and I want to applaud them because I just saw the reports of last year's performance. They surpassed the targets despite the challenges," Sarah remarked.
The two appeared cordial as they interacted with branch managers during the meeting, a sharp contrast to their ongoing divorce proceedings at the Kiambu Magistrate Court under Divorce Cause No. MCDC E086 OF 2024.
Many netizens praised them for showing maturity: The divorce case, filed in June 2024, has been accompanied by publicised tensions. Sarah’s lawyers, Mwenda Njangi & Co, recently wrote to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) highlighting concerns about Kabu's alleged criminal acts and requesting expedited investigations.
"We wish to draw your attention to the ongoing divorce proceedings between the parties and a related children's case. If Kabu's criminal acts persist, the children of the marriage risk being rendered destitute," the letter stated.
Sarah also took to social media, accusing her ex-husband of leveraging connections to suppress justice.
"Someone tell DCI I am waiting for full investigation on my Gender Based Violence complaints coz sasa it's being done online with paid campaigns. My X is connected everywhere and keeps boasting I cannot take him anywhere in this country. I want justice," she wrote.
