Former Inooro TV news anchor Wangechi Wa Muriuki has officially joined NTV. The popular media personality shared the exciting news on her Instagram account on Tuesday, January 28.

In one of her posts, Wangechi Wa Muriuki offered fans a glimpse of her new Nation Media Group (NMG) badge, expressing her joy with a caption celebrating her return "home" and how much she loved it.

"Home is where the heart is" she wrote.

Wangechi Wa Muriuki also shared two videos showing herself in a car on the way to an undisclosed location. In the clips, she proudly wore her NMG badge around her neck, holding it up and flaunting it for her fans.

"Back to where it all started...😍🙏" she captioned one of the videos.

It is however not yet clear what her new role will be at NTV, because she used to anchor news bulletins in Kikuyu language at Inooro TV.

Wangechi Wa Muriuki has however actually joined NTV slightly over a month after she officially left Inooro TV.

The talented journalist announced on the 8th of December, 2024 that her time at the Royal Media Services-owned station had come to an end, after 9 years of service.

In the post, Wangechi Wa Muriuki was grateful for the opportunity that she was given by her bosses to work at Inooro TV for all those years.

She also told her fans that this was not a goodbye, because soon she was going to come back on the screens.

Before leaving Inooro TV, Wangechi Wa Muriuki was well known for co-hosting the Kikuyu vernacular show Kiririmbi alongside fellow media personality Mike Njenga.

Reports indicate that before her promotion to news anchor, she previously hosted the show Irio To Githeri on Inooro TV.

Prior to joining Inooro TV, Wangechi Wa Muriuki had worked as a reporter at KenTV and Nation Media Group.
