Tension continues to simmer in Kenya’s entertainment scene following the circulation of a controversial audio clip featuring content creator Triza Njeri. In the leaked recording, Triza passionately defended her estranged husband, gospel singer Karangu Muraya, stating she would not stand by and watch him being publicly disrespected.
The situation took another twist when fellow social media personality Wairimu wa Muchiri was accused of secretly recording and leaking the private conversation. Breaking her silence, Wairimu has strongly denied the allegations, firmly distancing herself from the incident and maintaining that she had no part in the leak.
“I did not record that audio. I would never do that to someone I’ve worked closely with,” Wairimu stated during an emotional online address.

According to Wairimu, the fallout between her and Triza Njeri may have been rooted in a business disagreement. She suggested that Triza could have been upset over delayed or missing payment from a collaborative content project they had worked on together. While she chose not to disclose the full details, Wairimu hinted that their last encounter had been emotionally charged, which may have contributed to the current tensions.
What troubled Wairimu the most, however, was not just the accusation itself, but the extent of the backlash. She revealed that the situation had spiraled to the point where her family was being targeted, with even her father subjected to insults from online trolls—something she described as both painful and unfair.
“It’s one thing to accuse me, but when people start targeting my family — it becomes too much,” she said, fighting back tears.
The incident has ignited a flurry of reactions online, with opinions sharply divided. While some fans are urging calm and encouraging reconciliation between the two, others are calling for accountability from both sides, demanding clarity and responsibility over the unfolding drama.
