Moments after sharing his location online, South African rapper AKA was shot dead at the age of 35 years. 
The incident occurred on Florida Road, Durban, on Thursday, 10, 2022. A man, believed to be AKA's friend, was also shot dead, and his bodyguard was wounded.

Following the death of his expectant Fiancée, Anele Tembe, Forbes took a break from Cruz Vodka and resumed his duties in late 2020.

An omission error occurred shortly after the death of AKA's fiancee Anele Tembe.
However, the statement released by Cruz Vodka to apologize and create peace with the fans seemed not enough. Through their respective social media accounts, fans felt the brand needed to take AKA more seriously as their ambassador and demanded more answers. "What do you mean not intended for local sale??? Why can't @akaworldwide branded bottles be sold internationally???" a fan asked on Twitter.

Kiernan Jarryd Forbes fans were displeased by a popular alcohol brand after omitting his signature name (AKA) in the brand's bottles. Cruz vodka had released a batch of bottles that were seen making rounds on social media without the AKA signature. The fans said their love for Cruz Vodka alcohol was only because of the rapper's influence.

Cruz Vodka Apology To AKA's Fans

Addressing the matter, Cruz Vodka released a statement that read, "Dear Cruz family, we have noted that the generic branded Cruz watermelon bottles have been released into the South African market in error. These bottles were intended to carry the AKA brand name and were not intended for local market sale."

Cruz reassured fans that their partnership with AKA is still standing and that it was all a printing error. Taking to their official Twitter handle, Cruz Vodka wrote, "Aka remains a valuable part of the Cruz family and we are working to resolve. Our apologies for disappointing any of our fans."

AKA's Legal Advisor

Rudolph Baloyi, AKA's legal advisor, also addressed the brand issue. Speaking to Daily Sun, the biggest South African newspaper, Rudolph said they had noted and were engaging with Cruz SA, who picked up the error.

They also clarified the value of the CruzxAKA Brand to the public. Cruz SA further proceeded to social media, reiterating the valuable part AKA retained in their brand stable, where they noted the public's displeasure at the omission of his name from the bottles, as stated by Rudolph. The legal advisor further clarified that their team and Cruz SA were engaged to ensure that errors of such kind do not happen in the future.
