Robert Alai, a Kileleshwa County Assembly Member, says Azziad Nasenya is totally unqualified for her recent government position in the ministry of sports and arts.


The controversial blogger-turned-politician regretted Nasenya's selection to the committee. 



The Kileleleshwa MCA expressed his displeasure with the influencer and radio host's appointment to the important committee where she will manage the nation's creative economy.

Many Twitter users defended Azziad, stating that it is crucial to have young, energetic people at the decision-making table to provide fresh ideas, expertise, and qualifications.


A few months earlier, after betting businesses had flown influencers to Qatar for the World Cup, Alai criticized them and branded them useless. 

Robert thought the betting firms should have included the national football squad.


The news of Azziad Nasenya's appointment to a committee that would direct the government's implementation of its agenda for the creative industry has finally prompted a response from her.

Creating a Kenyan equivalent to the Grammy Awards is one of the objectives of the committee chosen by CS Ababu Namwamba of the Youth Affairs, Sports, and the Arts ministry. Along with other well-known figures, including Kate Actress, Wahu Kagwi, Akothee, and Daniel Ndambuki alias "Churchill", Miss Nasenya was chosen.


Azziad expressed her thanks for getting the exceptional job with other more experienced entertainers on Instagram. For the benefit of the entire creative economy and people like herself who labor within it. The TikToker promised to take the position seriously in a lengthy post. 

She specifically thanked CS sports Ababu Namwamba and the Ministry of Sports and Arts for nominating her to be part of the Creatives Technical Committee.

 Azziad promised to use her expertise and experience acquired in the digital world as a content creator to make sure Talanta Hela's goal is achieved.


She said that she was ready to collaborate with her committee colleagues and all other stakeholders in the industry to carry out the mission given to her.
