Rapper and entertainer Jeremy Maina, sometimes known online as "Lil Maina," is in sadness following the death of his grandfather.

On Monday, Maina revealed the tragic news through his socials. He claimed that his late grandfather, frequently appearing in his artwork, helped mould him into the person he is today.

Maina posted on Instagram saying, "I don't know what to say babu, i will always have you in my heart, and it is not the same without you, and it will never be."

"You are the best grandfather to me and everyone; I appreciate everything you have done for me." He sobbed.

The online celebrity disclosed that his grandfather was the one who kept on naturing his talent. He expressed his sorrow for losing a significant person. He relocated to Nairobi in 2018 and started living with his grandparents.

Due to Maina's frequent practical jokes, the young performer and his grandfather gained some internet fame.

Videos of Maina playing practical jokes on his grandparents during the pandemic went viral, winning him thousands of supporters.

In addition to his sketches and practical jokes, he dabbles in content creation and shot to fame with his hit song "Kishash," which had over 2 million views in just two weeks.
