Makena Njeri, a media figure, and LGBTQ activist, through a post on TikTok, has made hints she is open to dating older women.
When she posted it, several of her fans immediately inquired whether she was referring to her ex-girlfriend Michelle Ntalami. When Michelle confessed that she had decided to leave Makena, the duo split up in 2021.

Their breakup with Michelle Ntalami, the CEO of Bold Network, hasn't addressed their relationship issues for a long time.
It was alleged that Makena cheated on Michelle with a healthcare worker, Michelle said when she first broke the news of their divorce. She did not explicitly state that she was referring to Makena, but their relationship had long been known to be going on.
Michelle's best friend, Niyat, once said that Makena Njeri used to cause Michelle a lot of anguish, which is why she had lost the taste for her. She continued by saying that it had been difficult to watch her friend endure such suffering. Yet Niyati says she doesn't feel anything against Makena.
Makena and Michelle appeared to be truly close friends. They helped each other through many trying periods and were exceptionally close based on the year they spent discussing their lives on social media. They admitted that they had been friends for more than ten years. Makena had helped Michelle start Marini Naturals, and Michelle had also been instrumental in making Makena's Bold Initiative a success.
Since they were so close, many of their admirers thought they were dating. They participated in several "couple-like" photo shoots, had several vacations together, and even admitted to calling each other's parents "mum" and "dad." Interesting stuff.
However, all of that was refuted when Makena came out as a lesbian at the Bold premiere and said that Michelle was nothing more than her support system.
Michelle had the chance to express herself during an interactive Q&A session with her Instagram followers, where she tried to address all of their inquiries.
