On Monday, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and his wife Dorcas Rigathi welcomed popular boy band Sauti Sol to Gaborone, Botswana. He was attending the Forbes Under 30 Africa Summit.

On Twitter, the second in command revealed that he had discussions with the music stars about young empowerment and the role they should play in its support.

"We had an enriching conversation about the empowerment of our youth and the role they, as mentorship in their industry and elsewhere, can play in helping fragile young people grow and sharpen their abilities to fruition," Gachagua added.

"We also discussed the possibility of collaborating to guide and assist in the rescue of young people lost in illicit brews and substance abuse so that they can lead meaningful lives."

According to Gachagua, Sauti Sol is planning to attend the summit.
