Lawrence Njuguna, popularly known as DJ Fatxo, a Kikuyu vernacular artist, has finally spoken up following the investigation into interior designer Jeff Mwathi's death at his home.

On Tuesday, the Mugithi artist returned to social media with a big, in-depth message in honour of his 27th birthday.

DJ Fatxo expressed joy at turning a year older while repeating a Psalms Bible scripture, claiming that the previous year of his life had not been kind to him.

However, he expressed thankfulness for surviving it all, adding that he had learned a lot about life in the process.

"I'm overjoyed to be celebrating another year of my life." My birthday is today! Thank you very much, God, for giving me another year of life. "27, please be kind juu, this past year has been pensive," he posted on Instagram.

"Nimepitia mengi just like gold that has to go through a furnace, but the most wonderful truth is that I'm not getting old, I'm just getting experienced." "I am thankful for surviving all of the challenges of the last 365 days and turning another year older."

"Always do good to others because it will come back to you in unexpected ways," he said, "and pray for protection because there's a lot we can't see."

DJ Fatxo came under fire online when Mwathi, 23, died after allegedly falling from the musician's Kasarani residence.

However, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) recently stated that their investigation into Mwathi's death was done and that the file had been transferred to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for "perusal and advice."
