Faith Makau, a social media influencer/socialite known as Amber Ray, is taking digs at Kenyan artists and the entire business.

The curvy socialite stated that while she had recorded a song with comedian Eric Omondi, it was nothing serious and that the industry had no place for her because music in Kenya does not pay.

"To be honest, Kenyan music, in my opinion, does not have money, so siwezani nayo." "The song was just you know, ya kushtua wasanii kidogo and then I go back to my things," Amber explained to Plug TV Media.

She explained why she thought the industry was a wasteland:

"It can't support my way of life!" Have you seen my way of life? Mimi nashi, umeona maisha yenye? "Kenyan music can't do that," boasted the new mother.

The host, unwilling to let the matter go, recommended Amber throw her hat in the ring and compose music as a pastime, but the socialite refused to budge.

"No, I don't think so; even as a hobby, it would waste my time because it would provide nothing in return." Even as a pastime, it would be a waste of my time because my lifestyle is so extravagant, and ni you ukweli si ya kufake so hakuna vile music ita sustain me and my lifestyle," the social media celebrity added.

When asked if she'd like to go in the reality show Young, Famous, and African, the mother of two confessed she'd be kicked off because she's not dramatic and doesn't know how to fake it for the sake of views and money.

"I watched it; it's a good program and entertaining, but I don't like drama." I would not want to be associated because mimi siwezani na drama, drama hunifuata tu. I feel like the sector has a lot of drama, and I'm just not into all that," Amber Ray noted.

This comes in shortly after she revealed that she spends 300k daily and sometimes even exceeds the amount, which is her m-pesa limit.
