Eric Omondi, while embracing his new role as an activist, clearly outlined the distinctions between content creation, music, and comedy. He emphasized that his advocacy efforts are focused on supporting young content creators rather than established musicians and comedians like Bahati, Khaligraph, Churchill, Willy Paul, Wyre, Sauti Sol, Akothee, and Obinna.

Eric voiced his criticism towards content creators who visited State House, highlighting their failure to express their opinions. According to the comedian, these individuals merely indulged in the luxurious ambience, sipping wine and tea while posing for photographs. He strongly urged content creators to use their voices boldly and make a significant impact.

Mr. Omondi emphasized the government's financial capacity, asserting that it possesses sufficient resources. In light of this, he advocated for the training of content creators and the issuance of press cards to them. Eric Omondi proposed that content creators be given until 2024 before they are subjected to taxation.

As a responsible Kenyan citizen, Eric Omondi proudly stated that he remains loyal and fulfills his tax obligations accordingly. He added that content creators would pay taxes but after being given time and then afterward allowed to pay a 5% tax to start with.

His speech comes after Jalang'o made his statement about content creators' 15% taxation. "If they dare pass this thing, we are going to gather at KICC with all the content creators," said Eric.

According to him, if the government doesn't fulfill their demands, he will lobby for help from partners, friends, and NGOs willing to help and set up an office for content creators and buy laptops. He added that there are people with money and willing to help.
