Quavo and Offset will come together at the 2023 BET Awards on Sunday night to pay respect to their late Migos bandmate Takeoff.

The rappers gave a medley of tracks, including the 2016 hit single "Bad and Boujee" by Migos, which included Lil Uzi Vert. Since Takeoff's passing, Quavo and Offset had not shared a stage together.

The late rapper, whose full name was Kirsnick Khari Ball, was shot and killed early on November 1 outside of a bowling alley. Age-wise, he was 28.

Onstage during Quavo and Offset's performance was a picture of Takeoff. "Do it for Take!" was shouted by Offset at one point throughout the program.

Migos was founded by Takeoff, Offset, and Quavo, who all shared the same upbringing. Since Takeoff's passing, Quavo and Offset have both paid tribute to him on social media multiple times.

Quavo, who is Takeoff’s uncle, referred to the slain rapper as an “angel” in a since-deleted letter he posted on Instagram in November.

The Migos rappers faced breakup rumours prior to Takeoff’s death, and rumours of a further riff between Offset and Quavo had surfaced after Takeoff died.

Quavo delivered a tribute to Takeoff at the Grammys in February without Offset.

Rapper Cardi B, who is married to Offset, celebrated the rappers’ reunion Sunday on Twitter, writing, “I can’t take it right now … proud of the boys.”

The 2023 BET Awards featured other performances that paid tribute to rappers who have died, including Big Daddy Kane’s tribute to Biz Markie, who died in 2021.
