"Amka tu, jipe muda, nenda kafanye mazoezi, kula na basi utapata kitu kama changu au bora kuliko changu. Ni rahisi hivyo,” he said.
After his relationship with Diamond's ex-girlfriend Zari Hassan, 42, became known early last year, Shakib, 31, gained additional notoriety.
Before starting a romantic connection that has already progressed to the point of marriage, the two have known each other for several years.
After dating for approximately a year, the two were wed in an Islamic ceremony called a nikkah last month.
They exchanged vows amid a small gathering of friends and family members who also secretly attended the ceremony.
The lovers were depicted in full Islamic garb while sitting on a mat spread out on the floor in the pictures and videos of the event in the room that were posted on social media.
The few people in attendance cheered and applauded as Shakib was seen dropping down on one knee and joyfully donning Zari's wedding band. The two then kissed.
Shakib's life before his relationship with Zari Hassan has yet to be widely known. Before dating Shakib, Zari was previously wed to the late Ivan Ssemwanga, dated bongo music icon Diamond Platnumz, and was a business partner of Ugandan businessman GK Choppa.
