This year, Zari Hassan and her spouse Shakib plan to exchange vows at a white wedding. The wedding has been scheduled for December 2023, according to Zari.

During Ramadan in April of this year, Zari and Shakib got married. She disclosed that a Quran was given as a dowry by Lutaaya.

Speaking to the media in Tanzania, she said:

"God has blessed me. I have a wonderful life; my kids are OK, my business is growing, and I occasionally get gigs. I have everything I have ever wanted in this world.

I'm fortunate enough... Since I'm attempting to improve my faith, I only have my spouse for a Qur'an. He was even surprised when I revealed that I was a Muslim.

So he bought me one, just a Quran, explained Zari Hassan.

She added that her kids hesitated to approve of her husband, Shakib Lutaaya since they didn't like him.

This was stated in an interview with NTV Uganda by the Ugandan-South African businesswoman.

"My kids didn't like my relationship with Shakib, but after seeing how close and content we were, they asked him to make sure he takes care of me," my daughter said.

Hassan had three adolescent sons with the late Ugandan businessman Ivan Semwanga: Pinto, Raphael, and Quincy Semwanga.

Princess Tiffah and Prince Nillan, the children of Tanzanian music mogul Diamond Platnumz, are Hassan's other two children.
