The notorious pastor Victor Kanyari was never married to Kenyan gospel singer Betty Bayo, who has revealed details of her previous relationships.

Speaking at the recording of the gospel reality show "oh sister," Betty said that she is not divorced because she has never been married.

"I have never been married twice, and I am not divorced. The only thing you have in common with me—aside from the ex—is that I am married and have a lovely man. You throw away whatever you don't use, even in your home. Only those who are insane return to the rubbish.


After years of rumours regarding her marital status, the hit song "11th hour" singer has now made it clear. She and Kanyari shared three children, leading many to believe that she was married to him. Bayo has since clarified that she never saw their relationship as a marriage.

The musician admitted on the reality show that she never bothered to check up on her purported "husband," Victor Kanyari, before marrying him.

"I made the error of getting married without actually knowing my spouse. I needed to spend more time investigating the history. I didn't take into account traits like personality or character. We had many areas where we disagreed. There were debates on every subject.


Betty Bayo and her present spouse previously had a gorgeous conventional wedding and will soon marry in white.
