Caroline Mutoko is widely recognized as one of the trailblazers of radio in Kenya, having played a significant role in the success of renowned radio hosts such as Jalang'o, Larry Asego, and Nyambane. These personalities all launched their media careers at Kiss 100, which owes part of its triumph to Caroline's influence.

Caroline's departure from Radio Africa comes at a challenging time for the media house, as it grapples with a financial crisis that has resulted in staff layoffs and the closure of one of its primary broadcasting platforms, KissTV.

Reliable insider sources have disclosed that Radio Africa is currently making preparations to downsize its workforce in September. While the exact number of employees to be affected has not been specified, the majority of the layoffs are expected to occur within the editorial department.
