Brian Chira, a Tiktoker, was detained on July 28 on suspicion of defaming Azziad Nasenya, a day after he claimed unidentified individuals had assaulted him.

He was taken into custody at the Wilson Airport Police Station in Nairobi after being nabbed in Nakuru.

In a brief video from SPM Buzz, the Tiktoker exits a car and enters the station, where he engages in conversation with authorities.

Soon after, he is overheard saying on a phone call, "I insulted her. She reported this. Speak with the police, and they will be able to explain. All I asked for was your assistance.

Mungai Eve spoke with Gertrude, the attorney representing Azziad, and she revealed that her team is not pleased.

"Sometime last week Chira went live on tiktok, and the topic was Azziad. He uttered some words, very defamatory. He also went ahead and gave her a number. My client was being buzzed with a lot of calls and messages some of which are insults because of that. My client was not happy," she said about the legal matter.

The attorney cited the Computer Misuse and Cyber Crime Act.
