Kimathi presented Teen Republik on NTV for six years before departing.

He quit the media organization in October 2021, thanking NTV Management for six years of collaboration.

The TV presenter also praised his previous co-hosts, Tracey Wanjiru and DJ Bash, for their contributions to the show's success.

"First things first, God is the greatest 🌹

Today marked my final episode as host of @teenrepublikntv after six years, and I'm more than grateful 🙏. To the viewers who always tuned in, THANK YOU! THANKYOU! THANKYOU 🖤," Martin said in October when he was leaving NTV.

Kimathi has joined the roster of media figures who have positioned themselves as a possible replacement for Willis Raburu.

Reedah Yvonne, a radio personality, and comedian Oga Obinna have both presented ten over 10 in the battle to replace Willis Raburu.
