Kenyan musician and Sol Generation Signee Benson Mutua have slammed fans upset over the high cost of VIP tickets for the Solfest show.

Sauti Sol will perform their final Sol Fest concert as a group in November in Nairobi's Uhuru Gardens.

VIP tickets cost Ksh 20,000, while regular tickets cost Ksh 6,500.

VIP ticket holders can enjoy an up-close and personal performance, a 5-star meal with complimentary drinks, and limited-edition Sauti Sol souvenirs.

Many fans turned to social media to express their displeasure with the expensive tickets, with many stating that the cost would prevent them from attending the highly awaited show.

Bensoul, a Sol Generation musician, said people should quit concentrating on being broke.

Furthermore, Bensoul stated that individuals who cannot fund 20,000 by November to meet Sauti Sol have a long way to go.

"Kama 20K ya Kuona Sauti Sol inakushinda by November, you have a long way to go. Acha wenye pesa waende."

The musician stated that he was optimistic that the tickets would sell out.

SolFest 2023 Will Take Place Over Two Days. The two-day event will cater to two distinct fan populations. 



The concert on Thursday, November 2nd, has been designated as a VIP event, while the concert on Saturday, November 4th, 2023, has been selected as a fan event. 

The band implored fans not to miss out on their goodbye tour, which they described as "an unforgettable experience," and revealed that their final farewell concert would take place at SolFest 2023.
