Caroline Mutoko defended sensational singer Akothee after the church barred her from speaking to teen girls at Ng'iya Girls High School.

The controversial move resulted in removing Akothee from an event where she was supposed to, among other things, "give the students an inspirational talk."

Mrs Hellen Juma, the school's principal, had invited Akothee to speak to the girls and inspire them as they pursue education, only for the church that owns the institution to object and cancel the visit.

The iconic radio personality praised Akothee for her 'boldness' and unorthodox way of looking at life while sharing her ideas on her YouTube channel, noting that, at her age, Akothee was not even fashioning her brand around teenagers.

"We need to get rid of one completely unnecessary and inane conversation." Akothee's intended audience is far from young. It is not females of a specific age. They followed her because they liked her audacity on Instagram. "I do as well," Mutoko remarked.

"She's the kind of chic you want to despise, but you can't help but admire her because she's unapologetic." Who are your children, Akothee, that they listen to you? It is not Akothee's responsibility to raise your children!"

Mutoko noted that although she never listens to akothees songs or has been to one of her concerts, she would be happy to have coffee with the singer.

"If you feel like what I do does not work for your brand of parenting, lifestyle or even aspirations, please step aside. Akothee, keep doing what you do, I love your style on Instagram. I haven't been to any of your concerts, but if you ever ask me out to tea, I'll come, happily," she said.

In her reaction to the cancellation of her event, akothee thanked the principal for inviting her and asked the church to continue praying for sinners.
