DJ Mo has commended Size 8's late mother for ensuring her daughter got married the famous DJ. Muraya claims he was simply a young man attempting to create a name for himself in the profession.

DJ Mo admitted to Oga Obinna that he struggled to raise the 'dowry' at the time. "Before she announced officially that she had gotten saved, I went to her motherland home.

I had 150k for her dowry, and I had struggled to raise that. Nlikua nimefika mwisho , ata ungenikata singetoka damu, hata ungeniinamisha singetola kitu.

One person who helped me have Linet as my wife is her late mum." DJ Mo added "By the time she released her song 'Mateke,' she was already mine. At that time, we had already gotten saved. She still lived in South B while I was in Githurai 44. We decided to move to Thindigua, where we started life as a married couple. People even thought we were clout chasing."

Size 8's mum passed away in 2015. She died immediately after the size 8 gave birth to her first child, Ladasha. Her mother's illness began in late 2014 when she developed kidney issues.

After multiple doctor visits, she was suggested to get a kidney transplant in India. On the other hand, DJ Mo clarified that, while paying 150 as a Size 8' dowry at the time, dowry is not paid once in Kikuyu tradition. Thus he has produced more over time.
