Gospel singer and pastor Linet Munyali, known by her stage as Size 8, recently told a harrowing account of her struggle before she was born.

On August 4, the renowned artist celebrated her 36th birthday by outlining her inspiring journey.

The mother of two revealed that she had almost been denied the chance to live during an emotional reflection on her life.

Size 8 revealed her crucial conversation with her mother, who admitted to almost terminating the child.

The devil sought to kill me from the moment I was conceived. My mother almost had me aborted, but the doctor warned her that she might not survive if she did.

Waza questioned Size 8 to learn more, and she responded by saying that her mother had given her the information while she was ill and in the hospital.

“I was paying her hospital bill. She looked me directly in the eyes and shook her head. She looked back and couldn’t imagine that the same baby that she wanted to terminate from her womb was the same one who was paying her hospital bills,” Size 8 shared.

The artist revealed that her mother's first resistance stemmed from her desire to postpone giving birth to a sixth child in her quest for a greater knowledge.

She had reasons for not wanting a sixth child. I told my dad about it because he didn't know about it. He never brought up the incident again. That tale demonstrated to me the supreme protection of God. She remarked that God protects you in so many ways, even when you are so vulnerable.

Size 8 highlighted how her relationship with her mother evolved spiritually, revealing that despite the difficult beginning, her mother ultimately helped to direct her spiritual path.

She is the same person who subsequently prayed for my salvation. My mother was not horrible in any way; perhaps the strain of life caused her to consider wanting to have me aborted, but she is still the mother who, later in life, prayed and fasted for me for 40 days in Katoloni to bring me back to Jesus Christ when I had strayed, said Size 8.

Despite her difficulties, Size 8 says she is determined to give her children a profound appreciation for life.

“My kids will have to understand the value of life. They have to know how life is and that God can take it away. Both of them are miracles, and they will come to understand that when that time comes.”
