In a courageous retort to her critics, musician Nyota Ndogo fearlessly tackled the comments she garnered for embracing motherhood at the age of 42. Through her social media platform, she delivered a compelling message, encouraging those who had expressed disapproval to reconsider their standpoint.

"Wenye kusema mimi ni mzee sifai kuzaa, siku ya kujifungua, njooni musukume maana nyie ndio mna nguvu za kusukuma" ("Those who say I'm too old to bear children, on the day of delivery, come and help, for you have the strength to assist"), she declared.

Nyota Ndogo made it clear that her pregnancy, occurring nine years into her marriage, is a joyous occasion, and she expressed gratitude towards those who stood by her. Additionally, she highlighted cases where women in their 50s and even 70s have triumphantly navigated pregnancies.

Nyota Ndogo's bold reaction defies societal expectations and champions the autonomy of women in their reproductive choices, underlining that age should not dictate such decisions. Her message stands as a powerful testament to individual empowerment and the unwavering determination to assert one's choices in the face of criticism.
