Nigerian artist Michael Adebayo Olayinka, aka Ruger, has spoken out in response to his Kenyan impersonator.

Ruger stated on BBC Extra that he had no objections to 'Ruger Wa Kayole' singing his concert songs.

The Dior hitmaker stated that his Kenyan impersonator is simply trying to hustle and does not take issue with his singing his songs.

"I wish him well, ooh! I'm happy for him, and he is making his piece. Everybody must eat. When people were telling me that have you seen this? I was just like the man is trying to hustle, and he is promoting my songs in a way. He is not making his songs and saying it's Ruger who made them, so, at the end of the day, they will go back and stream those songs, which is the most important thing.

Abeg, everybody should calm down," Ruger said.

Ruger Wa Kayole has been making waves recently for imitating the genuine Ruger at various events in Kenya.

However, in a recent interview, the Ruger impersonator stated that he is a massive fan of the Nigerian artist, which is why he enjoys dancing and even performing his songs.

He stated that he began as a dancer until his star began to shine recently when people started comparing hi to the original Ruger.

He chose to go with the flow, which is why he has received so much attention from admirers.
