YouTube has terminated US-based content creator Andre Kibe’s channel, attributing the closure to violating its terms of service.

With 474k subscribers and 3.1k videos on his YouTube channel, Kibe attacks Kenyan celebrities--and holds controversial takes on current issues.

Netizens received the news of the closure of the popular channel with mixed reactions and celebration by fans and critics alike, propelling Kibe to the top of Twitter trends.

Speaking on X, Kibe did not openly discuss the termination of his account and appeared to dismiss the termination as a minor hiccup in his creative journey.

Kibe, who operates out of Texas after leaving a radio hosting gig in Kenya, has quickly risen up the social media ranks, with apt comparisons to British-American kickboxer Andrew Tate, with whom he shares a first name.
