Eli Omundu, a former casual worker for Langata member of Parliament Jalang'o, has been employed again a year after he and Morris Litiema took money from Jalang'o's car.

In a video posted to social media, Jalang'o claimed that when Eli apologized for taking the money, he chose to forgive him and rehire him.

According to reports, while washing Jalango's automobile, Eli and Litiema stole Ksh 2 million. The two subsequently took off the money, which Jalang'o claimed was intended for political campaigns.

Jalang'o immediately posted the information to social media and pleaded with followers to find the two.

Eli Omundu petitioned the Langata member of Parliament to hire him back in August of last year, citing challenges in his life due to being jobless.

Eli begged his old supervisor to grant him his job back at an interview since he has kids to support and educate.

When chatting with Mungai Eve at the time, Jalang'o claimed he had forgiven them but that, despite his desire, it was difficult to take them back.

He continued regretting his error and his intention not to make it again.

''They stole money from my house. I have forgiven them; I even wanted to bring them back to work, but in our community, they cannot be allowed in anymore. even if I wanted to, their photos were circulated all over as wanted criminals, and the community wouldn't even allow me to rehire them."

Eli apologized for his actions and gave back some of the money.
