Drivers for the digital ride-hailing platform Little App will be insured in the event of permanent disabilities and deaths through Sanlam Kenya.

The insurance product dubbed ‘Shift Your Destiny’, has comprehensive family protection, accidental benefits for permanent disability, and flexible payment options, among others.

Sanlam Kenya Chief Executive Officer (CEO) , Patrick Tumbo said drivers signing up for the cover will enjoy three packages.

“The coverage will provides crucial support within just 48 hours, grant invaluable assistance in the form of school fees and rent payments to the families of drivers facing the loss of life or permanent disability,” he said.

On his part, Little Driver App CEO Kamal Budhabhatti said the firm is keen on improving drivers' welfare.
