The Top Employers Institute (TEI) has named Safaricom as the top employer in Kenya and Africa after recognizing the telcos for its human resources (HR) policies and people practices.
Some topics surveyed in HR domains are people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, diversity and inclusion, and employee well-being.
The Institute has certified and recognized over 2,300 top employers in 122 countries across five continents.
“This award is a validation of the strong employer brand that Safaricom has created over the years by providing an agile working environment and numerous opportunities for employees to grow in their chosen crafts,” said Peter Ndegwa, CEO of Safaricom PLC.
Safaricom has retained the title for three years since 2022.
