A family in the Kiganjo area of Thika, Kiambu County, is seeking justice after a family member was killed as a result of the chaos caused by a proposed market construction.

David Nduati, a 26-year-old boda boda rider, died from excessive bleeding after being shot during the altercation.

An autopsy on the deceased's body revealed that Nduati was shot in the back, with the gunshot destroying lung veins and causing excessive bleeding.

Harrison Ndirangu, the deceased's brother, told journalists that he was with his brother at the market on the fateful day.

"He was a polite and hardworking who aimed to improve the living standards of their humble family." Ndirangu said.

Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, who had gone to condole with the family, assured them that his group, including Mt Kenya jurists, would investigate the matter on their behalf to ensure no cover-up.
