Paul Murage Njuki, the man responsible for the brutal murder of his wife and four children in 2021, has been sentenced to 40 years in prison by the Kerugoya High Court.

Njuki confessed to the crime, turning himself in at Kirinyaga Police Station shortly after the November 28, 2021 incident. He was detained and later charged in the Gichugu Law Courts after his surrender.

The victims, Millicent Muthoni and her four children—aged between one and 13 years—were tragically killed at their home in Kathata Village, Gichugu Constituency.

During the trial, Justice Richard Mwongo reviewed all the evidence presented, confirming that Njuki was guilty of murdering his family.

In his ruling, the judge sentenced Njuki to 40 years in prison, granting him the option to appeal the decision within 14 days.
