Tanzanian bongo musician Diamond Platnumz is being treated for a high fever at an Arusha hospital where he has been hospitalized.

On social media, the musician informed his followers of the news. He also uploaded a video made while in the hospital. A doctor stood beside him while he lay on the bed with an intravenous drip.

He hoped to gain more strength as he recovered, so he asked his followers to keep sending him their prayers. He said he hoped to play at his eagerly awaited Wasafi Festival event at the Eden Garden in Arusha as soon as possible and in good health.

"My day today started very badly in Arusha, with a high fever that led to temporary hospitalization. I thank God. I am doing well now, and I continue to gain strength. Do not stop praying for me. May I have more strength and do well on the Wasafi Festival Show," he wrote.

Diamond Platnumz spent the whole holiday season in a hospital bed before this one.

On his Instagram profile, the widely recognized Bongo star posted pictures of himself in the hospital having a drip adjusted by caregivers.

In one of the pictures, which he labeled "Bad Christmas This Year," he appeared to be in anguish in deep meditation.

However, Diamond kept his illness's origins a secret from his fans.
