Today, Kenyan chef Maliha Mohammed was trying to break the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual when she encountered a setback.
The chef who started the challenge on November 15 supposedly passed out from exhaustion shortly after reaching the 111-hour mark.
With over 140 hours of cooking ahead of her, Maliha hopes to surpass the current record of 119 hours, 57 minutes, and 16 seconds.
By cooking for 119 hours and 57 minutes, Alan Fisher shattered the record for the longest cooking marathon. The previous record, held by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci, was surpassed by more than 24 hours.

Despite being unconscious in the social media video, she clarified that the challenge would continue after the emergency.
"I am a conqueror and a marathon runner. Nothing is bringing us down; to the finish line, we go," she wrote.
She also updated her fans on her health, saying that she was feeling great and prepared to smash the record.
"I'm well now. Thanks to my physician who did a checkup but am back to business πͺπΎπͺπΎπͺπΎ."
In August, Chef Maliha set a new record for the longest home kitchen cooking marathon when she cooked nonstop for 95 hours.
In December 2018, she officially broke the record set by Californian chef Rickey Lumpkin, an American, who cooked a meal at home in 68 hours, 30 minutes, and 1 second.
Kenyans support her as she tries to smash the previous record. Several well-known people have attended her cookathon, including Flaqo, Lit Boy, 2Mbili, and Bien.
Maliha, chef, all the best.
