Betty Kyallo, a former news anchor now a successful businesswoman and brand influencer, has disclosed that she detests the term "baby mama" and is grateful that it has never been used to describe her.

In an interview with digital content creator Oga Obinna for his YouTube show, the owner of Flair By Betty she also discussed co-parenting with her ex-husband and baby daddy Dennis Okari.

"That term sounds so... I don't even know how to explain it. Like baby mama sijui it sounds aje, mimi sijawahi itwa hivyo (I have never been referred to using that term,)" started the former news anchor.

She continued by saying she disliked the term primarily because she thought it was associated with combative women.

"Like it gives me the sense of an angry, confrontational lady just yelling like come here! Don't do this and that to my baby and so on... I just think of myself as a lady who has a child with a guy," Betty told Obinna as the two burst into laughter.

Asked if she believes she is a wonderful mother to her, Betty questioned Obinna about the meaning behind the question and the qualities of a good baby mama.

"I'm a good mama, that I know so what does that (good baby mama) mean?" Betty candidly asked.

Responding to her query, Obinna went on to list qualities he feels are what a good baby mama ought to have. "A good baby mama is one who lets the dad see the kid/kids, doesn't talk bad about the dad to the kid(s) or try to make the kid hate the dad and so on...." Obinna said.

"If that's the case then yeah, of course I am. People who have seen us out there... like we are very peaceful, very peaceful. We are actually good friends," Betty joyfully said, jokingly adding that Dennis should count himself lucky that he got a good one, leaving Obinna again in stitches.

Ivanna, a 9-year-old baby girl, is Betty's only child with media personality Dennis Okari.
