Rhumba master Koffi Olomide was interviewed by Classic 105 morning show host Maina Kageni about his upcoming weekend show on Thursday, December 7.

Koffi praised his Kenyan music fans and credited them with his success.

"I missed Kenya. I missed my family and my fans. Seven years (away), nobody has suffered like I did, like not getting the opportunity to be back in this country," he said about his immigration challenges.

He talked about the show and what we can expect.

"Definitely I will die on the stage, I will give the best of my soul and my heart in each song. I need to see again these people who made Koffi. Like 60 percent of my country have been built in Kenya."

He is well-known for his stage energy and dance moves. This is what he will provide.

"My plan is to bring more than I did before. I need absolutely to give the best of myself."

He has strong words for Davido and Diamond. He is currently working with Davido.

"The last song with Davido was out 3 days ago. They are my kids, I respect and love them. They are young, they could be my sons. They have talent. Diamond is Diamond, Davido is good, the best you get in life is coming from the youth, the younglings."

Is he ever going to work with any Kenyan musician?

"I'm ready for them. That's my last dream to work with a Kenyan artiste. I am ready. I have like four day s in Nairobi. If any want to meet we talk, I'm ready."

Koffi will perform at The Dome, Jamhuri Showground on Ng'ong Road in Nairobi on December 9, 2023, for an ultimate Rhumba Night organized by Radio Africa Events.

Tiketiyetu.com is selling tickets for the upcoming concert for Sh6,000 (Advance), Sh25,000 (VIP), and Sh7,500 (Gate).

Let's meet at the Dome on December 9, 2023.
