Grace Ekirapa's Education

Grace commenced her academic journey by enrolling in two primary schools, Juja Primary School and St Anne's Primary School, before progressing to Kinyui Girls High School.

Not content with just excelling in her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams, Grace expanded her horizons. She delved into the study of Theology at Bible school, introducing a spiritual dimension to her academic pursuits.


To become a well-rounded individual, she continued her educational journey by honing her skills as a psychologist at Amani Counselling Centre.

Grace Ekirapa's Struggle With Suicidal Thoughts

In a series of videos she posted in November 2018, Grace revealed that she had attempted suicide during her early years, trying to take her own life with pills both in primary and secondary school.

During her eighth-grade year, she ingested 18 pills of antibiotics due to depression. In form three, she faced the same struggle and, on this occasion, took 35 pills.

Grace Ekirapa's ascent in the TV hosting realm began in 2012 when she entered the media industry at the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), where she hosted the well-received television show Angaza.

Fate took a significant turn for her when she joined NTV, stepping in as Faith Muturi's replacement. Grace secured the co-hosting role on Cross Over 101 alongside DJ Mo, firmly establishing herself as a prominent figure in Kenyan media.

The Prayer Woman

Beyond the glamour of television, Grace Ekirapa serves as a spiritual mentor through her ministry, 'The Prayer Woman.'

Grace Ekirapa, in addition to her hosting skills, is a gifted singer and songwriter.

In a surprising move in 2020, Grace unveiled her debut book, 'Diary of a Praying Woman.'

Derived from her teachings in the morning sessions known as Break of Dawn, the book comprises 26 chapters, each supported by relevant scriptures.
