Approximately three weeks after arriving in the US to visit his first family, Samidoh was asked to pay Karen Nyamu's dowry.
Samidoh was confronted with the suggestion from fans who had commented on his Facebook post to pay Karen Nyamu a dowry.
Samidoh was threatened by a netizen going by the handle Angel N Shantel if he did not give Karen Nyamu her dowry, and she would keep him as an orphan raised by a sugar mommy forever.
"#Samidoh until you pay dowry to Karen Nyamu...itabaki kuwa Mtoto Yatima Amewekwa na Mumama," Angel N Shantel told Samidoh.

Samidoh laughed at Angel N Shantel's remark, stating that Kenyans are amazing people. He did not, however, say whether or not he would consider honoring Karen Nyamu's dowry request.
"Angel N Shantel Aki Kenyans🤣," Samidoh responded.
Samidoh, Edday Nderitu's spouse, has been in and out of a relationship with Karen Nyamu, although behind closed doors.
In late 2019, while he was performing at a political event, the two lovebirds immediately fell in love.
Nyamu wasted no time in becoming pregnant for him. In December 2020, she gave birth to Samidoh's son.
For months, Samidoh flatly denied being Karen's biological father until Nyamu revealed the truth in January 2021.
The Mugithi singer came clean to his wife after Nyamu revealed that he was her biological father. But Nyamu didn't stop there; on February 26, 2022, she gave birth to a baby girl after becoming pregnant again for Samidoh.
The erratic relationship between Nyamu and Samidoh occasionally backfired in public.
Before they reconciled, the two lovers had a dramatic breakup in Dubai in December 2022.
On February 23, 2023, Samidoh and Nyamu announced their reconciliation by joining the family of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to pay their final respects to his sister-in-law.
Following the Mugithi sensation's sighting at the funeral of Gachagua's sister-in-law in Murang'a with his baby mama, Samidoh's wife, Edday Nderitu emerged with a vengeance.
Edday wrote a tearful post on her Facebook page, threatening to end her marriage because she felt that she could not raise her kids in a polygamous marriage.
On March 8, 2023, Samidoh and Nyamu appeared together once more at the funeral of the singer's nephew Geoffrey Mwathi in Nakuru, showing that they were unaffected by Edday's message.
When he asked Nyamu to greet mourners at the ceremony, the singer addressed her by name—Mama Wairimu, their daughter.
Early in May 2023, Edday and her three kids departed for the United States.
Edday made a public announcement on July 22, 2023, stating that she and her children had deliberately chosen to leave a toxic environment.
