Jamaican Dancehall music legend Vybz Kartel has appealed his murder conviction at the Privy Council, Jamaica's final appellate court, and has to wait for a verdict for three to four months.

Kartel was convicted in 2014, three years after his initial arrest. he was convicted with three other people, Kahiro Jones, Andre St John, and Shawn Campbell, for the murder of Clive 'Lizard' Williams in 2011 at the singer's residence.

It is alleged that  Clive 'Lizard' Williams was killed after he misplaced two guns that were given to him for safekeeping. His body has never been found.

Vybz Kartel was initially sentenced to 35 years in prison but the sentence was later reduced to 32 and a half years in prison after an appeal. In his current appeal, the singer is claiming that his health is getting worse as he suffers from a heart condition and battle with Graves’ disease.
