Kenyan comedian Eunice Mammito has run afoul of some Kenyans after her most recent comedy skit about Joseph Irungu, also known as Jowie, being given the death penalty.

The former Churchill Show comedian posted a brief social media video mocking Jowie's sentence.

Nonetheless, some online users swiftly chastised the comedian, claiming that her skit was poorly performed.

 Others countered that before making the video available to the public, she should have educated them about Jowie's family.

Here are a few comments on what Kenyans had to say;

mozz_njau. Maybe she's Monica's personal friend and is happy at the verdict. Remember, however harsh the sentence might be, there are people happy about it, especially those affected by the murder

abbeymickey_ I got chauffered by a person who has spent 7 years in prison. That man made me realise how prison is a living hell. It's not funny. It's sad. It's way too unfriendly, and this post isn't funny.

Jowie's Sentencing

On March 13, 20924, a judge named Grace Nzioka of the Kenyan High Court sentenced businessman Joseph "Jowie" Irungu to death for the murder of Monica Kimani.

Judge Nzioka declared, "I, therefore, order that the first accused, Joseph Kuria Irungu, alias Jowie, suffer the death penalty as provided for the offence of murder under section 204 of the Kenyan penal code, unless that sentence is set aside by a court of competent jurisdiction."

The verdict was rendered after Jowie was found guilty by the court of killing Kimani.

In February, Judge Nzioka declared that Jowie had killed Monica Kimani, as the prosecution had proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
