Radio personality Steve Jacob Maunda, widely known as Shatta Bway, has made the decision to depart from Radio Citizen, a prominent station under Royal Media Services (RMS). The announcement of Shatta Bway's departure was made by Radio Citizen on their various social media platforms.

Shatta Bway served as the host of the Waks Tikitaka show on Radio Citizen, collaborating with Q-Tee and DJ Rambo. The show aired from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Additionally, he hosted a morning program on Citizen TV that centered around relationship topics.

During a live broadcast following the announcement, Shatta Bway divulged some insights into his journey prior to joining the media industry.



He disclosed that he worked as a tout on a bus commuting from Nairobi to Kisii and Migori for two years while he was still pursuing a media-related course in college. Additionally, he explored acting and took on various roles at the Kenya National Theater, portraying characters from setbooks, although he found it to be a challenging endeavor.
